Determining How Long You’ll Burn Your Candle

You have to consider how long you'll be burning your candle- soy candles have a higher melt point meaning it can take longer for the candle to burn all the way to the edge - this is crucial. I recommend burning your candle for at least 2.5 hours to ensure even burning and a full melt pool. Burning your candle for 1-2 hours only may lead to tunnelling (image shown). You should ensure a full melt pool has formed each time you light your candle, this way your candle will last much longer. 

Trimming the Wick

To avoid the candle burning down too quickly and spilling wax, trim your wick to ¼ inch or less. This will ensure that the flame is not too high, which could lead to a fire hazard.
